You
solve the dilemma...
Do
you like giving advice? Could other Catholics possibly benefit from
your own experiences? Then here is your big chance! Every issue of Envoy
Magazine features a true life scenario which poses the question, What
Would You Do? Respond to this month's question (below) and then stayed
tuned to our website (www.envoymagazine.com)
to see what others have written. We look forward to hearing from YOU!
Scenario
#5 Support for a Support Group
John and
Marilyn are committed homeschooling Catholics, well acquainted with
the apologetics behind their faith. They've just moved to a sleepy little
town in the Bible Belt. Marilyn has been an active member of a Catholic
Homeschoolers' Group for years, and was looking forward to joining the
local support group. The only group in town requires that members sign
a "Statement of Faith" that includes an assent of "The
inerrancy, sufficiency and authority of the Holy Bible as the only inspired
word of God." Their new friends all know they are Catholic, and
are encouraging John and Marilyn to go ahead and join anyway. They're
not sure what to do. What would you do?

The
"What
Would You Do"
department of Envoy
Magazine poses real life questions faced by today's Catholics.
The moral life, convert situations, evangelization, living out our
theology -- it's all dealt with here. Do you have a situation that
you would like to see here? Please write
to SCENARIOS with your dilemma. If your scenario is chosen, we
will let you know by email. And you'll get free counsel from thousands
of Envoy readers! Of course, the names will be changed -- to protect
the innocent, you know.

Letters
from our Readers...
Your
magazine rocks
I am so
impressed with your magazine. My name is Chris Padgett and I am with
a Christian band called Scarecrow and Tinmen. (You did an article on
us once.) Traveling as much as we do it is fantastic to pick up your
magazine and be ministered to and challenged regularly. Thanks.

Don't
try this at home
I am a
faithful and most grateful reader of your magazine. I just get that
warm and fuzzy feeling inside from reading your magazine because it
is so in tune with the Church and the issues affecting Catholics today.
(I almost have to drink a bottle of Nair after each issue to calm the
feeling!) I have a son who will be starting his junior year of high
school in the fall. We would like to begin taking him on tours of Catholic
colleges this summer, but we don’t really know which ones to take him
to. Can you recommend a list of good, orthodox colleges where he would
receive positive influence and formation? I know there is the Franciscan
University at Steubenville, but that is the only one with which I am
at all familiar.
